RE: Insurance came through now what?

lol, well lets just say the several months wait was worth the payout. What is nice about the insurance company i deal with is they want to make sure they make you whole (or hole in the this case) again. It is just a matter of my version of whole or theirs. In reality it was in between both
Several months for the payout, now several MORE months to fix it.
There goes the summer. I don't think you'll be "lol" about that.

Have you ever wondered why...

Not trying to sound like George Carlin, (may he rest in peace), but have you ever wondered why they call Class C's and B's and Super C's whay they are?
I mean, shouldn't a Class Super C really be called a Class B since it is a bit smaller than a Class A, yet bigger than a conventional C. And a Class B+ really be called a Class D since it is smaller than a C?
Who was the brainiac that sat down and thought this one out?
Just something wizzing around my head this morning after a LONG weekend.
Maybe it was too many http://images.ugoto.com/emoticons/beer.gif
Whadda you think?

Go to this thread "Followup to the fatal crash" in General RVing section and read what can happen when towing with a short wheel base SUV.

RE: How to level a 31' Chateau with pushout

Everytime we park the RV, it always seems to be unlevel. Is there a way that we can stabilize the Chateau without damaging the pushout?
Thanks.
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o132/pats50fan/smilies/welcome4.gif to RV.NET!
We use thesehttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51P6GZV2F3L._SL500_AA280_.jpg
These cost about 20 bucks or so for a four pack.
You won't damage the slideouts unless they bind. If the motorhome is twisted, they will bind. You can also buy little levels that go on the side so you know when you're level. Just make sure when they are installed that the RV is level to begin with!
Happy Camping!

RE: Gas milages

WE are looking at motor home Class c it is a 28 footer and it got a ford 460 Engine Can any one tell me whit kind of gas mileage top expect out of it
Not too good at all. marvmarcy is telling you the truth. Those 460's drank more gas than I drink beer. http://images.ugoto.com/emoticons/laugh.gif
We have a 30ft C with the Chevrolet and 6.0L engine which gets 10-11.5 pulling our HHR with the a/c on.
The thing is, 6- 8- 10- 12, are you really driving it everyday?
It's for vacation purposes. If the price is right and you like it, go for it. You only go around once. So you eat hot dogs instead of lobsters and lowenbraus. http://images.ugoto.com/emoticons/beer.gif

RE: Bra or 3m for front of HHR

Having Good Quality Mudflaps on the Motorhome is the first step! Followed by an across the back skirt.
As far as a Bra is concerned I have found less damage without the Bra! I would go for the 3M film!
Our MH came with short mud flaps. I put on longer ones and we pull our HHR everywhere. After 5000 miles of towing since we bought it, I can't find one ding in the front end. And I'm pretty anal about the paint.
Bras usually flap and do more damage than protection. 3M film I hear is a PITA to put on and off. And it costs $$$. Those grass skirts on the back end toss up more things than you are trying to keep off,(hear say).
A nice set of mud flaps and you'll be fine. http://images.ugoto.com/emoticons/thumbsup.gif

RE: Best BBQ

Pound for pound I don't think there is a better small grill out there.
I have to disagree.
This is much better than a Weber Q.
We use the little 65 pounder when camping. Until you've used one, you'll never know.

RE: Three Reasons Why You Should Keep Your Truck

My only regret is the fact that I can't afford to take advantage of others ignorance.
With $30,000.00 trucks selling right now for about $15,000.00~$20,000.00, I only wish I were in a position to take advantage of these "deals."
Agree with O.P. I have weighed the #s myself, and even if one doesn't change their driving habits at all, after considering depreciation on your old rig, trading to a more fuel efficient vehicle just doesn't compute.
Also there is a mentality that some fall into after trading for a smaller vehicle. Because it now costs $60.00 to fill their tank, instead of $120.00 they unconsciously convince themselves that they can drive more, and are right back to where they started as far as total gas purchased, in addition to the fact that they are paying for a more expensive newer vehicle.

What it simply boils down to is this question...
"Do I want to shell it out now, or later?" :h
When you read enough replies, you'll understand what that means.

I'll take this in a little different direction.
Although I love my 2500HD, why do they make the rear box so blinkin' high? I have to carry a plastic box with me to reach in from side.
That tuba squish you down a bit? :B
